Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - Castle Bromwich, An Ihg Hotel, Birmingham

The hotel is conveniently located next to major roads but surprisingly quiet. The rooms are of good size, although they could use a fresher scent. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to par. On the bright side, the service was prompt and accommodating, with a nice gesture to make up for inconveniences. The location is excellent, especially for events at the NEC and Alton Towers. The dining options, while not perfect timing-wise, offer a decent start to the day. Overall, the hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives.

The hotel had rooms of a good standard, though the bathroom smelled strongly of drains due to the AC in the room next to ours. The service was a bit erratic, especially with reception, but they were accommodating after our emotional day. The location could benefit from more maintenance but was close to a pleasant pub. The dining experience was of high quality despite a limited selection. Overall, a decent stay with notable positives and negatives.

The hotel rooms were great, really spacious, and the bed was really comfortable. However, there was an issue where the booking was made without my consent, and there was disturbance with screaming at 1 am, which was disruptive to my stay.
